The emergence of COVID-19 has presented a bigger challenge in medical education especially in the adequacy of teaching and learning resources. In addition, the increase in student intake and demand for Kenya Medical Training College courses could compromise teaching and learning resources. This study investigated the perceptions of students towards adequacy of teaching and learning resources at Kenya Medical Training College in the advent of COVID-19. The specific objectives were to determine adequacy of human resources, determine the adequacy of physical facilities and adequacy of projected and non-projected teaching aids in the department of medical laboratory sciences. A descriptive cross-sectional study design of mixed method was be used. Simple random sampling of the eight regions was used to select one region (eastern region). Purposive sampling was used to select the study areas which are the four Kenya Medical Training College campuses namely Machakos, Meru, Embu and Kitui which offer medical laboratory sciences. The study population was students in the department of medical laboratory sciences in these campuses whereby 220 students took part in the study. The data collection instruments were self-administered closed and open-ended questionnaires. Quantitative data collected was analyzed using SPSS software while qualitative data was analyzed using themes and narratives. The response rate was 100% (=220 respondents). Findings showed that 51.8% were not satisfied with staffing of lectures, majority of facilities were in poor state according to the mean score level of interpretation (from 1.81 until 2.60), and majority of the students were averagely satisfied with the teaching aids (from 2.61 until 3.4) in accordance with the mean score level of interpretation. Conclusion: there are inadequate teaching and learning resources in the four KMTC campuses in the advent of COVID-19.
